David booked his first national commercial: Visa’s One-Hand Checkout with Larry Fitzgerald. The shoot was at the University of Phoenix Stadium where the Arizona Cardinals play. We actually got to use one of the dressing rooms where the vising teams who play the Arizona Cardinals suit up to play.
The director was Nicolai Fuglsig, Danish photojournalist turned director. His work includes commercials for the worlds largest brands all with a strong visual narrative.
I spent ten hours on set and got to see how he worked and the amount of manpower is necessary to make a 30 second commercial. There were hundreds of people involved in this project.
As for me, I played a sound boom operator and, in the end, I showed up on screen for only a fraction of a second. I was very grateful to Nicolai for adding me in.
